I’ve come to conclusion that this is my favorite song by the national.
Out of curiousity, is there any particular reason you dont like Nirvana?
I never liked Cobain’s singing and their overall sound just doesn’t appeal to me at all. It’s weird because even though I don’t consider Dinsaur Jr. grunge I know people do, and I love them to death. I also hate saying that a band being ‘too hyped’ or ‘popular’ has anything to do with my likeness of them but it kind of does in this case. Almost like those people who think The Beatles are the greatest band of all time (but not to that extent). Some people think that Nirvana are extremely good, which can be plausible but there are tons of better bands out there that are better, in my opinion.
thanks for following! I followed back!
I like your I don’t give a fuck, I’ll post what I want attitude. :)
I KNOW IT’S SO GREAT! I DON’T THINK THAT THERE IS A SINGLE SONG FROM 77 AND BEFORE THAT I DISLIKE.
also this version has some cool guitar/banjo? strumming in it.
Yeah the Talking Heads are just so great, ugh I need to listen to them
and this version was quite cool
yeah, definitely listen to those live cuts, they are probably the greatest live band of all time (or at least my favorite) and there are so many live shows in that collection from 1976-1979 which contains mostly early songs and Fear of Music (which I think you said was your favorite). I wish there was at least one show from the 1985 era because I would have wanted to hear Little Creatures live, but alas there isn’t.
