If I were to attempt to create a mix of songs that symbolize Spring, I’d probably end up with something like I made last year.  So instead, I decided to throw together a bunch of my favorite cover songs. Sometimes cover songs can be awful, but I believe that the songs in this lot are alright and I hope everyone who listens agrees.  Enjoy!

Here is my 7th installment of seasonal mixes!  As much as I love throwing together a bunch of pop songs, that can get boring season after season.  Like last year’s mix, where it was comprised of piano centric songs, this year’s keeps it in the same vein.  However, it slows down substantially.   This could be best classify this as “ambient,” but forget everything you know about ambient music because this is far from boring.  Each song has a cold, wintery feeling that keeps in essence with the season.

I tried to keep this as simple as possible, but that was pretty difficult.  This particular mix is also insanely long (clocking in at almost 2 hours), but that’s just the nature of the songs.  I could have easily made this only Stars of the Lid, but that wouldn’t be fun.  Although, there are 7 songs that are related to Stars of the Lid in some way, so we all win.
