So here is the third installment of my seasonal mixes. I don’t associate many songs with this time of year more than I do any other time, so I wanted to make this one somehow unique. Therefore, I figured I’d make a mix consisting on Modern Classical songs because there’s something about them that have a “wintery” feel. Classical is much more than just the “Classics” so I hope everyone can enjoy these few songs.

So after everyone seemed to enjoy my first two mixes a great deal, I figured I’d go ahead and make them for all upcoming seasons of the year. Autumn is probably my favorite season of the year, but I don’t really associate many songs or bands with it. But, these in particular have a warm, leaves-turning feel to them. Rake some leaves, drink some cider, do something else that is a cliché to do at this time of year, and most of all enjoy these songs!
Oh, and in case you never thought you’d see a Jens Lekman song on a mix with Swans, I proved you wrong. Plus there’s three Seabear and two Big Star songs on here, but I don’t even care.
- Teenage Fanclub - Sometimes I Don’t Need to Believe in Anything
- The Tallest Man on Earth - Weather of a Killing Kind
- Violent Femmes - Please Do Not Go

Sometimes it just gets frustrating seeing people label bands like All Time Low, Paramore, Sum 41, Fall Out Boy and similar as “Pop Punk” when they are probably the farthest thing from it. I wanted to put together a bunch of songs that exemplify what real Pop Punk is. All of these are some of my favorite bands in this genre and there are many more great ones that I did not include. I’m hoping this opens people up to these great bands that deserve many more fans than they have now. Enjoy!

I really wanted to put together a bunch of songs that I think are perfect for summer. Now, these might be songs that everyone has heard or has heard different songs by these artists. That’s fine. I didn’t want to be a pretentious jerk and put a mix of songs together that no one has ever heard of. All of these songs are Beatles-esque, throwback 60s songs that anyone with ears will be sure to enjoy!
